Privacy Policy

Your account. You sign in with Patreon. From them we receive your email address, your name, your profile picture, and your membership tier. We do not receive, store or have any access to your card details.

What you do here. Which videos you watch, how much of them you watch, and what you like or save. This is what makes your feed yours. Without it, everyone gets the same feed.

Your interests. The categories you pick when you join, and anything you change later.

Technical data. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the times you sign in. We use this to keep accounts secure and to stop abuse.

If you browse without signing in, we store a random identifier on your device so your feed does not repeat itself. It is not tied to your name and it tells us nothing about who you are.

• To run your account and give you the access you paid for.
• To rank your feed. This is the main one: what you watch is what decides what you see next.
• To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and stop people abusing it.
• To understand, in aggregate, what is working and what is not.
• To meet our legal obligations.

• We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• We do not share your viewing history with other users. Nobody can see what you watch.
• We do not put your activity on a public profile, and we do not email you about what you watched.
• We do not store your payment details, because we never receive them.

We share data only with the services needed to run the site, and only what they need:

• Patreon, who handle sign-in and billing.
• Supabase, who host our database.
• Cloudflare, who store and deliver the videos.
• Railway, who host the application.
• Google Analytics, which gives us aggregate traffic numbers.

We will also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.

We keep your account data while your account exists. Delete your account and we remove it, apart from anything we are legally required to retain, such as records tied to a payment or a legal claim.

Creator application samples are held privately for review and are permanently deleted within seven days.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email us and we will deal with it within thirty days.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember that you confirmed your age, and to keep your feed from repeating. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to count visits. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.

ThickTOK is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete the account and the data immediately.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
